“Why would I want a SquarePegToys® puppy tail and how do I decide which one to choose?”
In the early 2000s, through collaboration with the then-blossoming puppy community, SquarePegToys® was the first to develop a functioning plug in silicone with a tail attached. In the beginning the design was indeed crude, but with constant input and revision, the ultimate puppy tail has been created. So much so that it has inspired other manufacturers to imitate the design. But try as they might, it’s the subtle marriage of my own special silicone blend coupled with the design architecture that makes my tails work so well in a material that’s safe to put in you. SquarePegToys® is also proud to have innovated the first tail that wags simply by squeezing your hole by inventing the anvil base flange, which has now inspired others to do the same, improving the play of pups everywhere!

Choosing the Correct Plug Size
XS Extra Small
For several years, the small was the smallest size plug available but is was discovered to be too big for those with trauma or scar tissue that doesn’t stretch. I would only recommend the XS in these rare instances.
SSmall
For those who rarely or never get penetrated. If you still believe it might be too big just consider how large your bowel movements can be. It usually comes down to a matter of relaxing into it.
MMedium
Designed to be the standard for the average person who might enjoy hole play and gets penetrated regularly.
LLarge
A significant step up from the Medium, the large is intended for those who play with girthy toys and are accustommed to wearing plugs for extended periods.
XLExtra Large
Designed for those who play with large toys or engage in fisting.
Plug Volume
Another thing to consider when choosing the right plug is not just the circumference, but how much volume the plug has. Larger masses can trigger spasms if you’re not accustomed and make it hard to hold in. This is something that usually goes away over time as your body adapts. For example, the volume difference is about double between the Medium and Large plugs.
Lubes
Any lube is fine to use with a plug, but generally speaking you’ll have an easier time holding it in if you use a minimal amount of water-based or saliva. This then gets absorbed by the body and helps you keep it in place. Just reintroduce lube around the opening when you’re ready to extract it.

I’ve taken my tried and true tail design and added a flange to the base so now anyone can have access to a tail to show off their inner animal. Simple enough to poke through a hole, or use it to inspire your creative juices and incorporate it into your existing gear. Design a fur covering for it to provide life like movement. The possibilities abound.

Woofy Tail

Largest profile of all the tails in a highly textured surface. It’s so hefty that it’s only available in the Medium size and up.
Behavior
Projects stiffly upward when on all fours and has the most up and out curl of all the tails in bipedal mode. Nice thick root gives it a closely realistic side to side wag motion with almost no up and down.
